SAIM Capacity Building Cell
SAIM also has a Capacity Building Cell aimed at providing core and or customized training to stakeholders’ institutions such as banks, capital market, and development government agencies. Students are also given the opportunities to be the part of these kind of programs to enhance their learning in real world scenario. The belief of SAIM Capacity Building Cell is that in today’s fast changing environment, model of apprenticeship, command and control, which are used previously, no longer works. Institutions need to develop leading edge approach for its long run sustainability and growth. The motive of SAIM training is to facilitate the organization in any possible way to meet their vision and mission.
Thus, SAIM has been providing training and consulting services to the Government and other National and International organizations. In the past SAIM has provided consulting and training services to the Ministry of General Administration of Government of Nepal, which focused on the structural redesign of the ministry. Similarly SAIM reviewed the organization structure of Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF), an autonomous body supported by World Bank that implements poverty alleviation programs in Nepal.
SAIM has conducted numerous training in such areas as customer service management, valuation of securities, evaluation of mutual funds, understanding derivatives, sales management, consulting skills, team building, positive cultural shift, no harassment workplace, performance management and strategic human resource management. Various organizations ranging from commercial banks, financial institutions, the Central Bank of Nepal, Police Academy, Development sectors and manufacturing companies have participated in and benefited from these training.
