SAIM conducted online trainings on A World of Work Free from Harassment and Violence: A Right and An Obligation. The virtual training was the part of awareness program initiated by Zonta Club Kathmandu with support from FNCCI, ILO, IOM, Kumari Bank, Pourakhi,and Royal Thai Embassy. Zonta Club of Kathmandu is the Nepal chapter of Zonta International. The training was organized as part of the 16 days of activism to raise awareness to end violence against women in the world of work. 60 HR personnel from 30 organizations including Banks, Hospitals, Hotels, Academic Institutions and Multinational Companies participated in the virtual training.

Topics covered were defining workplace harassment and understanding its types, international conventions, existing local legal provisions, policies, procedures and mechanisms in Nepal, new mechanisms to deal harassment (bystander training, green dot training). The training also included a discussion on the role and responsibilities of leaders to create a world of work free from harassment. Though the training was online it was very interactive with commendable participation from the HR personnel and Zonta Club members.
