Shaping Thinkers and Leaders Through Case Studies at SAIM College

(2026-01-19)

Shaping Thinkers and Leaders Through Case Studies at SAIM College

Our Principal, Mr. Ashok Raj Pandey, a Harvard graduate, strongly advocates the case study method as a cornerstone of management education at SAIM College. The pedagogical insights and experiential learning he acquired at Harvard University are consistently translated into SAIM classrooms, significantly enhancing the depth and quality of the learning experience.

Mr. Pandey’s expertise extends well beyond teaching national and international business cases. As a pioneer of the SAFA Tempo business in Nepal, he has authored a case study based on his own entrepreneurial journey, offering students a rare opportunity to learn directly from real-world leadership and innovation. This case study has also attracted international academic interest and was shared with distinguished foreign scholars, including Dr. Thomas (Tom) Robertson, historian and former Executive Director of the Fulbright-Nepal Office (USEF-Nepal), and Mr. James Morton Turner, a historian specializing in climate change and environmental policy, during their research visits to Nepal on doing business in the country.

At SAIM College, case studies are not merely instructional tools; they serve as catalysts for unlocking students’ intellectual potential. By blending conceptual frameworks with real-world context, the case-based approach nurtures critical thinking, curiosity, confidence, and leadership readiness. Over time, this methodology has become embedded in the academic DNA of SAIM College, shaping graduates who are reflective, analytical, and fully prepared to meet industry challenges.
