SAIM has been providing consulting services to the government and other national and international agencies. In the past,
SAIM has provided consulting services to the Ministry of General Administration of the Government of Nepal, which focused on the structural redesign of the ministry. Similarly, SAIM reviewed the organization structure of the Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF), an autonomous body supported by the World Bank that implements poverty alleviation programs in Nepal.
For the South Asia Enterprise Development Facility (SEDF), a multi-donor funded, IFC managed, a regional initiative based in Bangladesh, SAIM assessed and identified potential SMEs in Nepal for future support and development. In the recent past,
SAIM has conducted numerous training in such areas as customer service management, valuation of securities, evaluation of mutual funds, understanding derivates, sales management, customer service management and consulting skills. Various organizations ranging from commercial banks, financial nstitutions, the Central Bank of Nepal, and manufacturing companies have participated in and benefited from these training.

International Conferences
International Conference on Measuring Informal Economy in Developing Countries (September 2009)
South Asian Institute of Management held an international conference on Measuring Informal Sector in Developing Countries jointly with International Association for Research on Income and Wealth (IARIW) from September 24th to 25th, 2009 in Kathmandu. The conference was a great success which was held at Godavari Resort and it had 50-75 participants from different countries. Apart from the international repute, many other distinguished guest, bankers, politicians, business leaders, policy makers, government officials and students of SAIM participated in the seminar. It was inaugurated at hotel Yak and Yeti by Honorable president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav. It really gave us the good opportunity to have wider exposure and interact with professionals, researchers, academicians of international repute. The participants found the seminar to be effective, enjoyable and fruitful.
The two-days seminar, jointly organized by SAIM with S. Rajaratnam International School of Studies (RSI), Nanyang University, Singapore, and Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS), was held at Annapurna Hotel and saw participation from prominent national and international scholars including renowned academicians from Nepal, India, Singapore and china; along with dignitaries and interested members of various brackets of society. The successful and highly well-received conference was inaugurated by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Bijay Kumar Gachyadhar and hosted comprehensive and enlightening presentations, discussions, and offered concrete recommendations on a host of related topics like security, trade, energy development in Nepal, economic impacts of the 2015 earthquake, and trans-border connectivity.
